Dracula: Crime Fighter?

Found this floating around on my desk at work. Totally forgot about it. its from the inside back cover of the first issue of Dell's Dracula comic. Its about a scientist who becomes a dracula and decides to fight crime or something. The pledge makes me laugh almost as much as the costume. Just keep in mind he's a scientist.

Space Mummy Vampire Squid thing

A quick study of what I was planning on drawing for this round of C.L.O.C. vs. The Mighty Men and Monster Maker. So far all the art that's been produced for this thing has been fantastic, but considering who's involved I would have been surprised to see crummy art. Below is the Final version of what I drew. looks like I changed my mind about the nose.

Wrasslin' drawings.

Watching Raw tonite just felt like drawing a couple of my favorite wrestlers. Sometimes wrestlers are just fun to draw.

Championship League of Champions Vs. Mighty Men and Monster Maker: Round 1

Check out the CLOC BLOG to witness the weird world of a bunch of artists re-interpreting things created using Parker Brothers / TOMY toy The Mighty Men and Monster Maker. Up there is my entry for this weeks Monster, I don't know why he's smoking but it looked funny to me so he is. Below is the original MM&MM design.

Weird coincidence?

On the Website for video game Gotham City Impostors

Drawing I did in 2006 about other job's Bruce Wayne could have had.
Not saying anyone ripped me off, I'm not famous enough for that to be the case, just a weird coincidence.

ROLLER DERBY PRIMER

Did a big graphic on Roller Derby for the National Post. With a little help from my pals Mike Faille and Jonathon Rivait. Pointed in the right direction to find info by Graves of the Undead Bettys.
you can look at said graphic Here!

That is all.

Did this a while ago. its an expanded version of something I did for The National Post. There was no color in the paper version just Mr. H in black and white, no hobo symbols except the ones in his cravat and on his glasses

Guess who shot first?

I love Star Wars just as much as the next guy, but man, people need to lighten up they're just movies. If George Lucas feels like changing something, that's up to him, he made the things. If you don't like the changes don't watch the new versions, nobody is forcing you to spend money or time watching them. So how 'bout it fans can we just stop harping on this subject and just say Star Wars is awesome, even Jar Jar?

Uncle Deadly, or My Favorite Muppet

How come nobody digs Uncle Deadly? I mean the guy worked for both Vincent Price and the devil during the course of the original Muppet Show all while haunting the Muppet Theater. Not to mention he's got creepier eye's than Floyd. Any way just my two cents. You should check out the really boss muppet art that Steve Murray did for the Post recently. Image is based on stuff Steve did of the Muppets for the best Muppet battle.

Royal Winter Fair 2011

So every year Leigh and I head out to the Royal Winter Fair to do some life drawing of farm animals. We live in a relatively urban area so the opportunity to draw animals tends to be pretty rare. Here's some of the best ones I did this year. I really like those hooded sheep.

Some guys who were sitting near us while we were drawing cows.

Cows just lying around.

Cow profile and sideways cow butt.

Cow laying down. Their hips are crazy.

Back of a cows head.

A couple of folks unfortunate enough to be sitting near me while riding the Go-Train.

Andrew Barr's Monstars: Ashley J. Williams

Andrew Barr's Monstars: Ashley J. Williams: First appearance: The Evil Dead (1981) Five friends have a lousy time at a cabin in the woods. Miserable time can be blamed on a book (The...

Andrew Barr's Monstars: Matt Cordell: First Appearance: Maniac Cop (1988) Another weird slasher flick from the '80s. I've only ever managed to watch the first Maniac Cop flick...

Lost Skeleton Tribute

Did this for the fantastic Lost Skeleton Tribute thing Belle Dee had/has up at her blog. Larry Blamire (writer, director, actor, illustrator) liked it enough he asked if he could put it on his facebook page.
If you haven't seen any of Mr. Blamire's movies you should be ashamed of yourself. Especially if you are a fan of B-Movies.  Oh and the quote in the image is from The Lost Skeleton Returns Again. I'd say its one of the best monlogues in movies that aren't Repo-man. So stop reading this and looking at the pretty picture and go watch some Lost Skeleton or Dark and Stormy Night.

There's some really fantastic art in the book this time (there was last time too but I wasn't in it) so go order yourself a copy. Its fun!Its the one with this amazing cover by Dave Hartman!
